
Exhibit 48a- The Great Sea. These drawings were
made by an artist that accompanied the Warren expedition in 1869-70. This
great room is under the middle of Har HaBayis and is called
by the Moslems the "Great Sea." It is believed to have been an
underground cistern of the Bais Hamikdash capable of holding
several million gallons of water.
