Camp Sdei Chemed Chesed
activities include one project per week. Each one is well
planned and we think will make the summer a more meaningful experience. Some of
the activities...
Serving as the country's largest food bank and food rescue network, Leket Israel works to alleviate the problem of nutritional insecurity. Each
year, with the help of 40,000 volunteers, Leket Israel rescues over 700,000
meals and 13 million lbs of produce and perishable goods. We will spend part
of the day gleaning fields and orchards for the poor (and get a free
t-shirt!)
Yad Eliezer began in 1980 in the kitchen of the Weisel family of
Jerusalem. They prepared a food basket for a neighbor who could not feed her
children, and were soon delivering monthly food baskets to hungry families.
We will help with the packaging.
We will spend time helping a soup kitchen prepare for shabbos.
