Packing List

New El-Al regulations require suitcases to weigh no more than 50 lbs.

Camp supplies Linen and Blankets.

Clothing: Nametags on all clothing are a must! Camp will not do laundry that does not have nametags on it. It is well worth the time and effort to put nametags on all clothing. We urge you not to be negligent about this.

It is essential that you send along a 3 week supply of clothes since we do not do any laundry during the nine days, and it can take as much as 4-5 days to get the laundry back after it is given in. So please stick to the recommended list.

  • 21 pair socks

  • 16 T-shirts

  • 1 sweater

  • 3 bath towels

  • 16 undershirts

  • 16 underwear

  • 2 bathing trunks

  • 1 bathrobe

  • 2 pajamas

  • 3 pairs of pants (long)

  • 1 dress pants (for Shabbat)

  •  Shabbos jacket (optional)

  •  Shabbos hat (optional)

  • 2 laundry bags

  • 1 pair sneakers

  • 1 bathing shoes

  • 2 face towels

  • 12 shorts

  •  4 white shirts (for Shabbat)

  • 1 pair shoes

  • 2 Tzitzis

  • Tefillin

  • Pocket Siddur

  • Hat (head covering for hikes)

  • 1 toothbrush

  • Toothpaste

  • Comb and Soap

  • Gemorah Ta'anis

  • Baseball glove

  • Life jacket (mandatory)

  • Money belt

  • Combination lock (for your closet)

  • 1 old T-shirt to use for Kri'a, since it is customary to rip the shirt you are wearing the first time you see the Kotel.

  • Hydration Pack: Make sure to bring along you Camp S'dei Chemed hydration pack.

  • BATHING SHOES: You must bring along bathing shoes unless you have shoe fins. You're going to need them when you swim in the Kinneret, Ein Gedi, the Yam Hamelach & the Red Sea.

  • LIFE JACKET: Because we take our boys swimming in the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Kinneret, Banyas, etc., we require all campers to wear a life jacket. Even the best swimmer can get a cramp! We therefore request that all campers bring along a life jacket. Remember: This is a must!

  • DESIRABLE: Camera and film, flashlight, fins, mask and snorkel are very helpful.

  • A sleeping bag is suggested.

NAMETAGS: CAMP WILL NOT DO LAUNDRY THAT DOES NOT HAVE NAMETAGS ON IT! Nametags on all clothing are a must! It is well worth the time and effort. We urge you not to be negligent about this! We also require that every camper have his name and telephone # on all personal belongings such as camera, teffillin (put your name, address and telephone # both outside and inside the bag), ipod, canteen, etc.

FINS, MASK AND SNORKEL

Even though it is not a must, we do strongly suggest (if you know how to swim) that you bring along a pair of fins, snorkel and mask. It will be extremely helpful and useful in the Kinneret, Banyas and especially in the Red Sea in Eilat. (If you have to rent fins, the cost is approximately $6.00 per day). We suggest you get the shoe type of fins, so that you will not need to bring bathing shoes.
